HELP US MAKE THIS POSSIBLE: Daily phone contacts, checking up on their well-being, physical health, mental health, liaising with necessary authorities, co-ordinating family contacts especially with family and relations abroad. Most importantly, making sure there's adequate food in their houses particularly their normal African, Caribbean and Asian foodstuffs.

The Multi Heritage Community Interest Company Cookbook Project was set up with the following criteria:

 

 

Aim

 

To raise the profile of the African and Caribbean people in the UK

 

To raise the post-secondary academic standard of African and Caribbean children in the UK

 

 

Outcome

 

African and Caribbean children go to Oxford, Cambridge and London Universities

 

 

Objectives

 

To pay for 2 years A-Level studies in an Independent school

 

 To pay for after school tutoring for those that want to remain in State schools

 

 

 

 

Tales & Recipes from the Motherland Book 2 captures the spices and flavours of African and Caribbean dishes. Parents in the UK have linked their favourite foods with happy memories of life back home in Africa or Caribbean Islands. Each recipe contains pictures with a step-by-step guide and a tale that explains the essence of the dish!

Each recipe contains pictures with a step-by-step guide and you can have a go at preparing ETO from Ghana, Poisson Braisé from Ivory Coast, Dutty Girl from Jamaica, Nigerian Banga Soup, Fumbia from DR Congo, Saturday Soup from Barbados, Rice with Peanut Butter from Zimbabwe, Cameroon Pepper Soup or a typical Zambia family meal.
